Q- How should I clean my Quay Ceramic Dining table?

A- We can confidently tell customers that the porcelain material is comparatively non-absorbent and scratch resistant to marble or other natural stone surfaces. Customers need not be precious about using the table surface and red wine/pasta sauce will not absorb under normal use conditions. As good practice, spills should be wiped up as soon as possible to avoid surface build up. The edges are unglazed, meaning they are more matte. Red wine should be wiped off as soon as spillage over the edge occurs, as once it settles in it will be harder to get out. (If stubborn stains do occur on the edges, we have had success ever-so-gently buffing them out with a wet fine grit sandpaper.) Most household detergents can be used on the ceramic surface occasionally if a thorough clean is in order, but we recommend starting gentle and to preserve the longevity of the ceramic.

Q- How is the edge of the Quay Ceramic Dining Table finished and sealed?

A- The edges of the dining table are CNC machine cut, the edges are polished and are unglazed.

Q- How do you remove residue on the Quay Ceramic Dining table?

A- These marks might be dust residue from processing. Because ceramic is cut wet, there can be a fine sticky dust which builds up and feels quite matte in certain areas when it dries. You can use a light abrasives like magic sponge or a scourer pad to gently buff it off with water.

Q- How is the Quay Ceramic Dining table constructed?

A- All the Quay Ceramic Dining tables are similar in construction, there are not any additional supports over the length of the 2400, we have constructed the side rails to be strong enough.

Q- How hot will the Quay Ceramic Dining table get in full sun?

A- We can tell the customer the Quay outdoor tabletops will get as hot in full sun as you would expect a porcelain floor tile would…there might be incremental differences between the ceramic colours, white reflecting more light than darker colours. If you think about a ceramic mug, ceramic is a good at retaining heat but does not radiate heat like metal would, so if the ceramic gets so hot it is unbearable to touch.
