Product Proposition
The Heritage range is a timber base dining collection. This range inspired by David King is a large format dining setting made to last as a generational table. To create a strong presence the Heritage table is to feature a thick, engineered core, no veneer tabletop, reinforced by steel for a lifetime of use. Key Risks & Considerations
What are the key risks involved in the project?
e.g. manufacturing risks, design complications, bottlenecks in the timeline, commercialization risks, brand discrepancies
Key Risks | Mitigation plan (Concept refinement phase) |
---|---|
Post summer 2023 release | Project broken into 2 releases, fixed and dynamic. Where the fixed features an updated existing chair. Project is also number 1 priority, with milestones in place |
Getting Australian timber to market at the same time | Has been agreed that the sourcing of an Australian timber is to not hold up release of the Heirloom range. |
3rd part manufacturers: lead times, quality, capability | To engage with suppliers earlier than phase gate process indicates to get ahead |
Differing mechanical properties of the multi-material construction | Will prove out theory early on with samples manufactured in Turella |
Lead time for sample from Secco | To engage with Secco earlier than phase gate process indicates, to have a sample manufactured ahead of time. |
