Her comments were as follows: “There is a 7” rectangle area towards the middle that instead of being shiny is matt/dull as though this area was missed in the final polish. I tried rubbing it with a soft cloth but it does nothing. Can you advise me what product I could use to bring this area up to a shine so it matches the rest?”
Do you have any suggestions or know of this issue? Can we fix this or have to re-order a new one?
A- There’s not much that can be done if the finish itself has the variation in gloss level. You could get a French Polisher to have a look at it, but it will most likely be the case that the top would need to be lightly sanded back and re-lacquered, which will cost us more than a replacement.
I’d put a re-order in through KCS – we can claim the faulty product back from Cecco. Fortunately the customer can continue to use this table while they wait for a replacement.
