Supplier has only our old Natural Oak colour and will send sample. Michele to assess, but it’s not great.

Deep etched ready, team check wiring and start on Customer/showroom documentation.

Testing the operation mech, Tarmac will ask Coffey on usability/lifecycle rating and if testing has been done. Also will discuss with Engineering, and do we have a warranty? If warnings on use need to work this out before packaging graphics.

Costings received, awaiting Damien’s feedback.

Will need to speak to Michele re lighting introduction process.

Only black only is suitable for deep etch as silver is unlikely to be ready in time. Deep etch team can manage with this as long as they have a silver swatch to use for photoshop.

Not suitable to add light colour update at this late stage. Looking to see if the supplier has an option to change from ‘cool to warm’ light and can’t implement possibly integrate with Home Automation Systems (speak with Tony on DNC on Cloud)

Lead time on new sample with CNC’d parts - awaiting feedback.

In terms of production readiness for flock is very much PO dependent. (PO is out of designs hands.)

Waiting on complete sample to sent to TU, this is currently held up by the mechanism R&D in China. Tarmac will assess the light components when in China. New risk- the raising mechanism needs to be designed by Infinite Lux- costing and timeline to be released and assessed.

Deep Etch /lifestyle shoot has been scheduled. Tarmac will check with Michele to explain that the shoot must be moved.

CGI is potentially an option but Kirsty to confirm - not required at this stage.

Consider for Good design awards entry- risk of adjustable height mech not being completed on time. Can consider for late entry.

DK feedback was very positive and greatly appreciated. 2nd prototype starting this week for DK request to eclipse from the base. Tooling will be costly but will prototype anyway. DK approved but let’s have the conversation with DK again on form. Pricing of tapered component if worthwhile Michele will look into and get back to us 21st Feb.

The tooling done on the stool is incorrect, this needs to be addressed with GL & fabricator. A whole new seat form has been developed with updates- prototyping request with soft tool (limited use). Find out info on pricing and timing of soft tool- Mina.

COUNTER STOOL: Mina has complete engineering DWG. Seat pad needs to be re-considered- after sample off soft tool comes back successful. Hoping for product to review on Tarmac’s arrival in GL.

Timing issues, getting closer to missing flock date if GL doesn’t apply some resources to this range. Mina will remind the team this week so they can be more likely to see sample on GL trip.

Pricing is too high for veneering, Alinta looking into GL veneering and powder coating.

Flock had major issues, outlined in spreadsheet in discussions with Thailand. No update so far.

If 8 more chairs are made for OP, use as this as the QC update guideline. R & P will follow up with Thailand.

Need to get up to date CAD out of Thailand- with new June.

Leg veneering exploring China and set up QC for GL team to check before shipping.

Plastic injection moulding for legs has problems with the supplier working through, drawing finalised today and tooling start ASAP.

Upholstery foam improvements, R & P will work through foam cut relief ideas with Thailand.

Timber colour matching issues working through getting info out of GL to provide to match across the range.

Ponti will send across some details of dimensions etc for the occasional chair to DK/Thai team

Cecco has updated the sample due 10th March not even be 1800mm, but smaller. Will have to await the sample result.

XMB sample- Edge treatment is not the waterfall end as designers wanted, but we can still make the tables like, DK won’t mind. Photography is different though and possibly upcoming other suppliers table. Legs all look different and not followed the drawings. Hand sanded finishes it looks. Second time sample hasn’t been to drawing. Thicker veneer top which is likely to crack with heat.

Rework from XMB was not up to standard, the factory is unlikely to be able to produce these tables.

Push GL for extension mech this week, last week was not fruitful.

Sampling starts next week on the extension mech. Ryan working on cleaning up Heirloom etc. Aim to start work on Heritage Ext.

New mechs ordered, Chinese mech next week, 2 from Italy, 1 weeks.

Ponti will assess any UZ home extension tables when in China if possible.

Also design some mech concepts this week.
