titleQ- I  have a customer whose Canyon Table has an area that has a matt appearance and not the shiny finish like the rest of the table (please see image attached).

Her comments were as follows: “There is a 7” rectangle area towards the middle that instead of being shiny is matt/dull as though this area was missed in the final polish.  I tried rubbing it with a soft cloth but it does nothing. Can you advise me what product I could use to bring this area up to a shine so it matches the rest?”

Do you have any suggestions or know of this issue? Can we fix this or have to re-order a new one?

A- There is not much that can be done if the finish itself has the variation in gloss level.  You could get a French Polisher to have a look at it, but it will most likely be the case that the top would need to be lightly sanded back and re-lacquered, which will cost us more than a replacement.

Put a re-order in through KCS – we can claim the faulty product back from Cecco.  Fortunately the customer can continue to use this table while they wait for a replacement.

If you could get a few more pics that would help for the claim.  Please send these through to Purchasing & Chantelle.

Q- What kind of polish is used on the aspen/Canyon range and is it marine grade varnish and water resistant?

A- No, It is not water resistant. It is an environmentaly-friendly water-based lacquer.

Q- What is the part number for the Canyon Dining Table bolt pack?

A- PN12122489
